Cofitur at Anuga 2025: Global Encounters and New Coffee Inspirations

Anuga 2025 in Cologne, Germany, once again proved why it is considered one of the world’s most influential trade fairs for food and beverages. Bringing together producers, importers, and innovators from around the globe, it offers a unique look into the latest trends in gastronomy, sustainability, and of course – coffee.

This year, Cofitur joined as visitors to explore the diverse world of international coffee and strengthen connections within the specialty coffee community. We had inspiring exchanges with representatives from Colombia and Peru, two countries that continue to play a vital role in shaping the global coffee scene through their dedication to quality and origin.

Among the many memorable moments was a cultural discovery: learning about Arab coffee traditions. In Arab culture, coffee is served in a Finjan — a small cup intentionally filled only halfway. This gesture reflects hospitality and warmth, symbolizing the wish for the guest to stay longer and share more conversation. A beautiful reminder of how coffee connects people far beyond borders.

For us as a young company bridging Latin America and Europe, Anuga 2025 was an inspiring experience. We returned with fresh ideas for our coffee origin trips to Colombia and new perspectives on how to continue promoting roasted-at-origin coffee from Huila.

Anuga once again highlighted how dynamic, creative, and deeply human the world of coffee truly is — and why every cup deserves a story.
