Who We Are
-
Friendship
Cofitur is us, Fred and Vera. Our friendship began in Cologne and has transcended many places, conversations, and joint projects over the years. Today, it is the foundation of our collaboration at Cofitur .
-
Enthusiasm
We are united not only by our passion for coffee, but also by our conviction that transparency, respect and genuine interest are the basis for good cooperation – with our partner fincas as well as with our customers.
-
Personality
For us, Cofitur is not a concept from outside, but rather one that has grown out of personal experience, shared values and the desire to build bridges – between origin and consumption, between cultures, between people.
-
Vera Richartz
My name is Vera, and for me, Cofitur is the combination of my passion for Latin America and my desire to make sustainable coffee trade a reality.
I studied Latin American Regional Studies and Economics in Cologne, and later completed an MBA – but my real expertise comes from over 20 trips and extended stays in various countries in the region. This not only allowed me to learn about the language and culture , but also to develop a deep understanding of the local economic and social structures.
At Cofitur, I am responsible for brand building, communication, and sales in Europe 🇪🇺 – and I also accompany our coffee tours, especially for larger groups.
My goal with Cofitur:
To raise awareness of the origins of coffee – with respect for the work behind it and with genuine interest in the stories of those who produce it.
