What to bring for a week on a Colombian coffee farm
If you're preparing for a coffee origin trip to San Agustín, Huila – one of Colombia’s most vibrant coffee regions – you might be wondering: What should I pack?
Don’t worry. We’ve compiled a practical and experience-based packing list to help you feel prepared, comfortable, and connected throughout your journey.
🌿 Activities & Weather: What to Expect
This is not your typical tourist getaway. Our 7-day trip is a unique blend of coffee learning, light hiking, farm visits, cuppings, and moments of reflection – all in the lush landscapes of southern Colombia.
Here’s what’s on the agenda:
- Hike to the archaeological site of La Chaquira (and possibly nearby waterfalls)
- Cupping sessions with local producers
- Coffee farm visits at various altitudes
- Accommodation at a finca with limited internet access
Expect warm, spring-like days with occasional tropical rain. Some trails may be muddy. Packing smart makes a big difference.
