La Siberia

The Farm

Situated in the fertile hills of Los Cauchos, south of Pitalito, lies Finca La Siberia — a coffee farm with multi-generational roots in quality and reliability. Tradition meets modern processing and quality control on this estate. With its altitude ranging from about 1,600 to 1,800 metres, it offers ideal conditions for specialty coffee production: cool nights, rich soils and a stable micro‐climate.

La Siberia

The Producer

Mayra Muñoz leads the farm with an impressive blend of experience, vision and passion. As a women-owned family business, she exemplifies the growing role of women in Colombia’s coffee industry. She has not only carried on her family’s legacy but in recent years has consistently professionalised the farm — with a special emphasis on quality management, transparency and social responsibility.

Cultivation & Quality

On Finca La Siberia, varieties such as Castillo, Caturra, Bourbon and Typica are cultivated. Each parcel is individually maintained and regularly assessed for soil and climate conditions. Harvesting is done by hand, and depending on the variety and targeted flavour profile, processing varies between washed, honey and natural methods. The result: coffees with clarity, depth and character — shaped by Mayra’s dedication and precision.

Sustainability & Values

Sustainability informs every decision at Finca La Siberia. Mayra prioritises organic fertilisation, conscientious water use and preservation of local biodiversity. Equally important is the social dimension: fair wages, stable employment and promotion of women in leadership roles. Through training and exchange programmes with other farms, she actively contributes to the region’s development and inspires young people to stay in agriculture.

Collaboration with Cofitur

The partnership between Cofitur and Finca La Siberia goes far beyond business — it is founded on friendship, trust and mutual respect. Mayra Muñoz and her family have become more than just partners to us — they are part of our Colombian coffee family.

Here, at La Siberia, our story began — and to this day the farm remains the starting point and centre of our coffee travel experiences in Huila. When we bring guests to this place, we don’t just bring them to a farm — we bring them to people who welcome us with open arms and share their passion for coffee.

For us, La Siberia is more than a farm — it is a home in Colombia, the origin of our mission and a living proof that coffee connects people.
